The south trail

Distance : 4 Km approximately

Journey time: 2 – 3 hours. 

The south trail is a circular route that starting and ending at the Monastery of St. Peter in Lamosa or, for those arriving by train at the station Provaglio.
Starting from the monastery, you go down the dirt road that lies between the church and the road to Iseo, crossed a wooden bridge under the railway, you pass along the edge of a field and arrive to the road. From here, it is possible to see the water. At the end of this path you find the entrance to the Reserve and following the walkways, you get close to a hatchery where, with the help of signs, it’s back to the monastery.
Recommended equipment: boots or rubber boots in rainy periods, binoculars, nature guides.

You can find mud along the trails. In summer it is advisable to bring water to drink.

Organizational terms

It is recommended that care for clothing, avoiding bright colors and wearing proper shoes (if it has recently rained, the better the boots).

Avoid noises and cries.

In the Reserve is prohibited any form of disturbance of wildlife and damage to vegetation, introducing animals, throw garbage, leave the marked trails; the removal of small samples of natural elements is allowed only if authorized.


ATTENTION

The entrance to the area does not need guides for groups of up to a maximum of 6 people.

You must pay your ticket at the cash machines at the main entrance.
