The Reserve
The Nature Reserve is located between Franciacorta and Lake Iseo. The territory, which covers about 360 ha, consists mainly of reed beds and ponds surrounded by farmland. An area is in direct contact with Lake Iseo and it is called LAMETTE (not open); the inner areat, called LAME, is formed from large tanks spaced by thin banks of soil, obtained from the excavation of peat, that it ceased in the fifties. Since then nature has re-colonized the ponds.
The entrance to the reserve is possible through three different access points, each placed on a different path:
- North Entrance-North Path: in Iseo, at the Reception Centre visitors, opposite the football field.
- Central entrance-Central Path: in Provaglio d’Iseo, at the Monastery of San Pietro in Lamosa..
- South Entrance-South Path: in Corte Franca at the Infopoint, Via Segaboli, next to the shopping center parking “Le Torbiere”.
At each entrance is placed a ticket machine for the payment of the ticket, 24 / 24h.
Travel Info
- BY CAR
From MILANO or VENEZIA exit A4 ROVATO
direction Iseo or Provaglio d’Iseo on the SP11.
From BRESCIA
ISEO direction on SP510 until Iseo to reach the visitors center. For guided tours continue until Provaglio d’Iseo, Monastery of San Pietro in Lamosa.
